What a great story. I might have to buy some apple cider vinegar. But the story about The Center for Discovery really moved me as I have a daughter on the severe end of the autism spectrum and would love for her to be at a place like this. Always nice to be reminded of all the good people doing good things.
I've always thought that if I wasn't married to my darling husband, I would have liked to have been married to Danny Kaye. He could sing! He could dance! He was hysterical! And..my oh my what a cook!
Is Cesare Casella still working at the Center for Discovery? I'm always happy to hear when somebody creative starts volunteering or lending their talents to special needs children of any stripe.
My ex-wife and I used to volunteer for a gifted homeschooling/unschooling program which we finally had to step away from because some of the kids were MAGA CHUDs-in-waiting and just wanted to tear the whole movement down. (It wouldn't surprise me if some of them weren't working for Ron DeSantis or Greg Abbott now.)
Thank you, Ruth, for this wonderful article! We live halfway around the world from you, but hoping we will someday make a difference in our communities same as the examples you shared here.
Beautiful and inspiring on every level. Can't wait to try the lemon pasta!

I just discovered you via Ella Risbridger and love this! Potato chips with a college education - I have to borrow that.

Love the idea of Oliver Cromwell's pedigree pigs.
Love reading her stories.
A rich and delicious story. Casella is a man that any of us would be fortunate to know. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. The piece about Casella is excellent. It makes me want to try his prosciutto!
