Very fun reminder of my first Spago visit. I remember seeing Tony Curtis (there with a much younger woman with legs for days...can I say that?) and Ed MacMahon. Wolf was behind the counter in the open kitchen. Thought I was in tall cotton!

It's reviews like that and others I read in Gourmet in the early 80's while living in Miami with my soon to be wife that prompted me to "head west young Chef" She and I had just graduated from the CIA and moved to Miami so she could get her Bachelor's in Hospitality Mgt. Ending up as the dinner Sous at Ma Maison was something I didn't even dream of but there I was in 1984 cooking for the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra. And as usual, that you for sharing.

Wow, so fun. My Mom furnished our home at Treasure Mart in the 60s/70s so whether you shopped side by side or not, i will see that image. I will be reading…
