My brother lives in Belgium but travels to Germany for work. Every December he sends me a tin of these cookies. They are divine! The cake looks delicious. I'm a huge fan of pears, and it happens to be our state fruit here in Oregon. Thank you so much for including the recipe. Happy Holidays!

This year, Leckerlee also offers an incredibly realistic lebkuchen tree ornament! I ordered a few for family members in memory of my mother-in-law, whose lebkuchen we all loved.

Thank you - this may replace Sticky Toffee Pudding in my Christmas repertoire! I will make it with my Outrageous Toffee Sauce with Bourbon and will let you know how it turns out.

Wouldn’t you drop the pears cut side up so you’re looking at the rounded side when you flip it?
